Bambarra Beach in Middle Caicos has been crowned the “Best Beach in the Caribbean” in the prestigious “USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2025”. This incredible achievement follows closely behind Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, which secured the 10th spot on the coveted list.
This year’s victory marks a significant milestone for Bambarra, which placed second last year. Grace Bay Beach also saw a slight improvement, moving up from ninth place in 2024.
Tourism Minister Josephine Connolly expressed immense pride in Bambarra’s triumph. “This fantastic news is a wonderful way to start the new year,” she stated. “As we actively promote the Turks and Caicos Islands as a multi-island destination, it is incredibly gratifying to witness increased recognition for our lesser-known gems. The presence of two of our beaches in this top ten list further solidifies the Turks and Caicos Islands’ reputation for boasting a diverse array of stunning beaches. I extend my sincere thanks to all who voted and encourage those who haven’t yet visited to add our islands to their travel plans this year.”
USA Today eloquently described Bambarra Beach as “seeming to stretch on forever.” They highlighted the beach’s unique charm, emphasizing its serene and clear waters, ample space for relaxation, and a refreshing lack of typical resort amenities.
The Department of Coastal Restoration (DECR) enthusiastically welcomed this global recognition. As they actively work to enhance the visitor experience at Bambarra Beach, this accolade serves as a powerful motivator. “The DECR is thrilled to see Bambarra Beach celebrated on the world stage,” stated Mr. Luc Clerveaux, Director of DECR. “This recognition further inspires us to invest in improved amenities for beachgoers while ensuring the steadfast protection of our precious coastal environments.”
